Every woman's hair is different, so there is no single "right" extension. In your consultation we look at your natural density, how fine your hair is, how you wear it day to day and what you want to change. Then we recommend the method that will look natural and protect your own hair.
Great Lengths Weft Linea
A soft row of added fullness
Weft Linea is an ultra-fine, lightweight weft placed in a horizontal row through the back of your hair. It sits flat and soft against your own hair, and it is a beautiful way to add density or length where you need it most.
For: Volume or length
Feels: Light and seamless when your hair sits naturally
Ideal if: You have good density at the back and want an even boost
Hybrid application
The best of wefts and bonds
A Weft Linea adds fullness through the back, while individual bonds are placed around the hairline, part and crown where a weft would not suit. It gives you density and a natural finish in the areas people see first.
For: Volume, or volume and length
Feels: Full through the back, soft and natural around the face
Ideal if: You want a big change with fewer bonds

Designed strand by strand for you
Small, individual bonds are placed exactly where your hair needs support. Because each one is positioned by hand, this is the method we can tailor most closely, whether you want a subtle lift in volume or volume and length together.

When your hair is changing
Understanding hormonal hair loss
Your hair grows in cycles, and hormones have a big say in how long each strand stays in its growing phase. When your hormones shift, more hairs can move into the resting and shedding phase at once, and some follicles begin to produce finer, shorter hairs. The result is often more hair in the brush, a wider part or a ponytail that feels smaller than it used to.
It is more common than most women realise, and it often happens at the same time as other big life changes. You are not imagining it, and you do not have to just put up with it.
This is where bonds come into their own. Because each one is placed individually, we can add density exactly where yours has changed, keep the weight spread evenly and choose a bond size that suits finer, more delicate hair.
If you are noticing new or sudden shedding, we always recommend speaking with your GP so things like iron and thyroid levels can be checked. We are happy to work alongside your doctor and will talk you through what we see in your consultation.
What can fall under this category
- Perimenopause and menopauseFalling oestrogen and progesterone can shorten the growth phase, leaving hair finer and less dense over time.
- Postpartum sheddingHair that was held in the growing phase during pregnancy often sheds together a few months after birth.
- Thyroid changesAn under or overactive thyroid can cause diffuse shedding across the whole head.
- PCOS and androgen sensitivityHigher androgen activity can gradually miniaturise follicles, often through the part and crown.
- Stress-related sheddingA period of illness, surgery or major stress can push many hairs into shedding at once, usually two to three months later.
- Low iron or ferritinLow iron stores are a common contributor to shedding in women and are easy to check with a blood test.
- Changes to hormonal contraceptionStarting, stopping or switching can trigger a temporary shed for some women.

A salon built around your time
Our salon was built around a simple belief. Making time for yourself matters, and for most women today it is one of the hardest things to do. Between work, family and everything in between, a few hours in the salon can feel like time you don't have.
So we have set things up to support you however you need to spend that time. If you need to work, there is a dedicated client Wi-Fi line, ample space at your section for your laptop, and an extra screen, keyboard and mouse if you would like them. Just ask when you arrive, or send us a text beforehand and we will have it ready for you. If you would rather switch off, the salon is calm and quiet, so you can simply sit back and take the time for yourself.
And because we are a full service salon, your appointment is complete from beginning to end. Every colour and cut is finished with a blow-dry, so you walk out styled and ready to go, straight back into your day.
